Information

On Thursday 25^th and Friday 26^th March 2010 the 13^th DAS Cardiovascular Biology Meeting will be organised. This 2-day symposium has an exclusive training and educational programme for PhD students and medical specialists (in training) on Thursday followed by a jointly dinner. On Friday the scientific programme is compiled by numerous brief presentations of submitted and selected abstracts in combination with poster sessions and a keynote lecture presented by an international renowned expert in atherosclerosis and/or vascular biology. The symposium will take place in Hotel and Congress Center 'De Reehorst' in Ede.

DAS-Fellowships and Poster Awards
On day two during the plenary session several lectures will be given by delegates, preselected by the DAS Board on submitted abstracts. These abstracts will be categorised into 3 topics: 

1. Lipid metabolism & Metabolic diseases
2. Vascular biology & Vascular medicine
3. Clinical & Experimental cardiology

The best presentation from each category will be honoured with a DAS-Fellowship of € 1000.
All other submitted abstracts will be presented on Friday during poster sessions of which the best posters will receive the DAS poster awards (€ 500). All fellowships and awards are to be spent on a thesis or congress related to atherosclerosis or vascular biology.

Abstract submission/criteria
To compete for the DAS fellowships you need to submit a relevant abstract before February 1^st 2010. 

Abstracts must be written in English and can only be submitted through this website in the prespecified format. All lectures and posters will be presented in English.

Registration & Fees
The programme is open to PhD students, research professionals, medical specialists (in training) and other specialists in the field of atherosclerosis and vascular biology.

Registration will be accepted on order of entry.

Registration through this website is possible untill March 24, 2010.

Registration fees are: 

- March 25 - 26: € 200,-   (including dinner and stay in the hotel)
- March 25 - 26: € 175,-   (excluding stay in the hotel, including dinner)

- March 25 - 26: € 150,-   (excluding stay in the hotel and dinner) 

- Only March 25: € 125,- (including dinner)
- Only March 25: € 75,-   (exlucing dinner)

- Only March 26: € 75,-

On receipt of your registration you will receive a final confirmation, an authorization form, the scientific programme and itinerary.

Accreditation
NVVC-accreditation: 10 points. NIV-accreditation: 11 points.
